CHIROPRACTIC'S FOUNDATION
The human body is a self-regulating, self-healing, adapting organism that is run by innate (inborn) intelligence. This intelligence is transmitted along the nerve system (brain, spinal chord, and peripheral nerves). The nerve system sends life to all cells of the body, thereby coordinating all life functions. This innate intelligence is the adaptive formula that sustains life. It animates our personality, inspires us, drives us, repairs, and heals. It gives us the ability to think, act, and maintain health. It determines our inner potential of how far we can go, how much we can achieve, and how well we relate to other human beings.
The occurrence of everyday physical, emotional, and chemical stress can interfere with the normal expression of this innate intelligence at the vertebral (spinal bone) level. This nerve interference is called a subluxation and in many cases is painless. This pressure on the brain stem and spinal cord will always limit the body's internal potential to thrive.
By adjusting the spine and helping the body remove this interference, the body will have its best chance to restore itself back to a normal coordinated state. A healthy/fit spine will promote normal nerve transmission, thereby directly affecting the way the body performs both internally and externally.
